"And surely, we have created many of the jinn and mankind for Hell. They have hearts wherewith they understand not," …. |
I was shocked and amazed when I read a great verse which affects anyone who may listen to it. In this verse God be he blessed and exalted Threatened atheists and skeptical. God says: (And surely, we have created many of the jinn and mankind for Hell. They have hearts wherewith they understand not, and they have eyes wherewith they see not, and they have ears wherewith they hear not (the truth). They are like cattle, nay even more astray; those! They are the heedless ones.)(Sûrat Al-A‘râf - verse 179). In fact we have to understand this verse. How can a human being get an eye but he or she doesn’t see with it and how a human being can get an ear but he or she doesn't use it to listen. Finally what is the relation between heart and understanding?
Let us try to read and understand this verse, all of us know that the eye is a sight method but we don’t see with our eyes but it is only a transformation method for information from the outer world to inside our brain where these information are processed and stored.
Those atheists can see with their eyes but their brain doesn't use all of this surrounded information to reach the truth to believe that God is the only creator not the nature or coincidence!!! According to their way of thinking they believe that all of these stars, galaxies, creatures and organized and complicated Biological processes are made by coincidence!!! Indeed they don't see the truth.
Also they have ears but they don't use it to listen to the sound of truth as they say that Qur'an is an ordinary book and it is full of mistakes!!, also they claim that this book was written by Mohamed (peace be upon him) !!! Indeed they can hear the Qur'an but they don’t listen to the sound of truth.
Let us to concentrate in God's arrangement to the following three operations:
1. (They have hearts wherewith they understand not) : so, heart is the understanding method
2. (And they have eyes wherewith they see not): so, eye is the sight method.
3. (And they have ears wherewith they hear not (the truth)) as ear is the hearing method.
In a previous article we asked a question, how could our hearts think and understand as it is just a pumping machine? In that research we proved that recent science confirmed that heart is able to think and understand, while miracle science is continuing as God says :( We will show them Our Signs in the universe, and in their own selves, until it becomes manifest to them that this (the Qur’ân) is the truth.)(Sûrat Fussilat – verse 53) therefore every day, new facts will appear to prove that Qur'an is sincere
A new story to prove that heart is the center of believe or atheism
In (10/4/2008) the "daily mail" newspaper published a wonderful story which confirm that heart has a vital role in human's believe or atheism.
One day a woman married a man and after couple of years and due to his atheism, he committed suicide by a gun to end his life. After his death doctors found that his heart is in a good condition so they decided to uproot it to be re transplant in a body of an ill man who used to a believer and he does many good works. The family of the believer was so grateful for that and the man started a new life.
By coincidence , the believer man met the widow of the dead man(who committed suicide), when he saw her he felt as if he knows her from a long time , and he told her that he is in love with her and he can't live without her. That was just the beginning as the heart of the dead man had started to feel by its previous feelings which are considered to be a proof that heart keeps feelings and memories inside it.
But the surprise is that the believer man became atheist despite his tries to hide his atheism, his heart started to torture him till he decided to suicide by a gun. He shoots himself in head and he died by the same way as the atheist man did.
In fact this accident was a big surprise to all people who know that man as they know that he wouldn’t do such thing , also they couldn’t understand how can a happy man may be transferred to a be desperate man to do such thing !!!! Therefore we conclude that heart is not only a pumping machine as if it is so, this man wouldn’t love the same woman and also wouldn't die with the same way.
Brain in the heart
Today, researches tell us about a brain in the heart and they confirm that heart has its special nervous system which called " the brain in the heart", in this system heart has a complex intrinsic nervous system that is sufficiently sophisticated to qualify as a "little brain" in its own right. The heart’s brain is an intricate network of several types of neurons, neurotransmitters, proteins and support cells like those found in the brain proper. Its elaborate circuitry enables it to act independently of the cranial brain – to learn, remember, and even feel and sense.
The heart’s nervous system contains around 40,000 neurons, called sensory neuritis, which detect circulating hormones and neurochemicals and sense heart rate and pressure information. Hormonal, chemical, rate and pressure information is translated into neurological impulses by the heart’s nervous system and sent from the heart to the brain through several afferent (flowing to the brain) pathways. It is also through these nerve pathways that pain signals and other feeling sensations are sent to the brain. These afferent nerve pathways enter the brain in an area called the medulla, located in the brain stem. The signals have a regulatory role over many of the autonomic nervous system signals that flow out of the brain to the heart, blood vessels and other glands and organs. However, they also cascade up into the higher centers of the brain, where they may influence perception, decision making and other cognitive processes.
Researchers describe the brain and nervous system as a distributed parallel processing system consisting of separate but interacting groups of neuronal processing centers distributed throughout the body. The heart has its own intrinsic nervous system that operates and processes information independently of the brain or nervous system. This is what allows a heart transplant to work: Normally, the heart communicates with the brain via nerve fibers running through the vagus nerve and the spinal column. In a heart transplant, these nerve connections do not reconnect for an extended period of time, if at all; however, the transplanted heart is able to function in its new host through the capacity of its intact, intrinsic nervous system.
The intrinsic cardiac nervous system, or heart brain, is made up of complex ganglia, containing afferent (receiving) local circuit (inter neurons) and efferent (transmitting) sympathetic and parasympathetic neurons. Multifunctional sensory neuritis, which is distributed throughout the heart, are sensitive to many types of sensory input originating from within the heart itself. The intrinsic cardiac ganglia integrate messages from the brain and other processing centers throughout the body with information received from the cardiac sensory neurite. Once information has been processed by the heart’s intrinsic neurons, the appropriate signals are sent to the sinoatrial and atrioventricular nodes as well as the muscles in the heart. Thus, under normal physiological conditions, the heart’s intrinsic nervous system plays an important role in much of the routine control of cardiac function, independent of the central nervous system. Researchers have shown that the heart’s intrinsic nervous system is vital for the maintenance of cardiovascular stability and efficiency, and that without it, the heart cannot operate properly.

Desperate criticism
Skeptics are trying to raise suspicions about Qur'an by saying that in old time, Bible and many poets told us about heart and feelings, so is it considered to be a miracle?????
Of course it is not, but the true miracle is that Qur'an told us in a concise and scientifically words about many things around us where no one in the seventh century got an idea about it before, at that time it would be reasonable for the prophet to speak about legends and glories of the Arabs, but he didn't. Because Mohamed is God's messenger and because he didn’t get anything from his own but from God be he blessed and exalted.
Today, scientists are not sure that heart can think and remember, but because of the continuous scientific researches they are in their way to believe in this scientific fact. Indeed one day, they will prove that heart can think and understand but God told us about these scientific facts 14 century ago as a proof that Qur'an is sincere and from God be he blessed and exalted.
We ask our God to keep us on the right way, and never give disbelievers any kind of triumph over the believers, God says :( And never will Allah grant to the disbelievers a way (to triumph) over the believers.)(Sûrat An-Nisâ’- verse 141). And the close of our request will be: (Al-Hamdu Lillâhi Rabb-IL-‘Âlamîn) [All the praises and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of (‘Âlamîn) (mankind, jinn and all that exists).
